A visit to the factory where the latest BBC monitor speakers, the Rogers LS5/8, are made!

About 20 minutes south of London by car, in an area called Mitcham, is the Rogers factory. This area is a small industrial district lined with two-story brick factories.

Rogers speaker factories are split into two locations: Mitcham and Catford, a little further east.

Rogers’ factory in Mitcham, outside London, manufactures products mainly consisting of polypropylene woofers. Standing in the entrance hall are President Brian Pook (right) and Technical Director Richard Ross.

The Mitcham factory we visited produces the BBC’s latest monitor speaker, the LS5/8. In addition to the LS5/8, they also produce the Rogers PM series, a group of speakers that use polypropylene diaphragms. In other words, they can be said to be a major polypropylene factory. At the entrance to the factory

We were greeted by Rogers President Brian Booke and Technical Director Richard Ross. They seem to make a great pair.
